In 2013, 2nd Swing achieved a long sought after goal of becoming a Ping Authorized Internet Retailer (A.I.R.). 2nd Swing is 1 of only 10 A.I.R. accounts.

He has won many awards in the clubfitting world; this includes being named the California Clubmaker of the Year four times, the Western U.S. Clubmaker of the Year four times, and the Top Ten World Wide Clubmaker of the Year through the GCA twice.

Gene has taught clubfitting at the Golf Academy of America’s campus in Carlsbad, CA. His interests are on the technical side of golf club design and function, applying elements from his 31 years as a math teacher. An even more important goal for him is to find out what you do with your swing, as a unique individual. He couples this with how you want your swing to feel so that you can enjoy the game of golf, and play at your best.

Most of Gene’s time has been spent working with, and building some of the best produced, component club heads in the world.
