Ping is making 6,000 limited-edition pink G drivers ($650) available, just like the one Bubba Watson plays, and will donate $60 to the Bubba Watson Foundation for every one sold. Each pink G driver will come with a Bubba “caricature headcover,” to remind fans of the two-time Masters champ when they let it rip off the tee.
“Ping and the Solheim family are incredibly generous in giving back to the game through ideas like the limited-edition pink-driver program,” Watson said. “I’m very grateful for all of their support, on and off the golf course. The response from the first two driver programs was amazing, so I’m excited to continue this tradition for the third time. We’ve been able to do a lot of great things together that truly help improve the lives of the less fortunate and those in need.”
This is the third time in four years that PING has worked with Bubba’s foundation and will exceed $1 million in donations since the partnership began. Watson has been playing a pink Ping big dog since the first year he won the Masters (2012), when he gamed the G20. The new limited-edition drivers come with a pink shaft and G clubhead that features all the standard technologies as the normal G model and will be available in 9º and 10.5º lofts in regular and stiff flexes.
